PI Hexapods provide motion in 6 degrees of freedom in the most compact package.
In combination with absolute measuring sensors, software and motion controllers that make the most
complicated motion profiles easy to command, PI hexapods answer industrial requirements.
All drive types can be matched to meet the conditions of the individual application.
The broadest portfolio of standard hexapods ranges from miniature versions for sample positioning
in beamline experiments, high-resolution dynamic positioners for fiber alignment,
to equipment for industrial production processes, where hexapods position high loads with
sub-micrometer precision.
Motion hexapods provide more dynamic motion and are designed to follow pre-defined trajectories
with high precision, for example in camera test stands.

Direct Drive Hexapods with brushless DC (BLDC) motor and long-life ball screws provide high precision,
velocity and lifetime. Hexapods in Compact Form, with
Parallel-kinematic Design for e.g. Micromanipulation, Biotechnology, Tool Control as well as
Alignment of Fibers and Optical Components.
For Payloads of up to 250kg with
brushless DC motors (BLDC) for use in Biotechnology, Automation, Micromachining
and Life Science applications. Hexapods for Payloads above 250kg and Accuracies in the micrometer regime
are covered by PI. These High-Load Hexapods are used in finden in der Precision Assembly, Astronomy, Aerospace
as well as in Positioning of high loads e.g., in mechanical engineering or in test systems for satellites.
Also new concepts like
Hexapods with Magnetic Direct Drive provide High Velocities and Dynamics, perfectly suitable
for e.g. Test Systems for Image Stabilisation, Oscillation Simulation, Eye Tracking or Simulation
of human and artificial Motion.
